MOPS
I went to my first Mothers of Preschoolers meeting today and it was fun. There was a group of 6 of us that met today and we are hoping to make this mops program a big success. We are going to start having meetings in September at the Clare Church of the Nazarene. If any of you mom's out there are interested, you are more than welcome to join us. We will be meeting once a month and child care is provided (Ya!). The meetings will consist of group discussions, crafts, speakers and even some fun outings. Its a great opportunity for moms to get together and just take a breather and visit and have some fun. Give me a call if you're interested!

One of those days.
You know those days where you feel like your going a million different directions and at a 100 mph. Today is one of those days. Micah had a fever so I took him to the doctor to discover that he has an ear infection. Every time he is teething he gets an ear infection. Anyway, our doctor is usually really quick and great about getting us in and out of there but of course our doctor is on vacation so there is a rent a doc today. We wait 45 min. in the room and when the doctor finally comes in, I am staring at an 80 year old man who is moving slower than molasses on a February morning. Instead of letting me hold Micah while he looks into his ears, he makes me lay him down and hold is arm above his head. Micah is screaming his head off, Max is running around the room throwing cars and I am on a speeding train to crazy town. It took me 10 min. to get Micah to stop crying. That entire time the doctor is trying to tell me something but I have no clue what it is because I can't even hear myself think let alone listen to captain ancient. I finally get out of there and head to Walgreens to get the script filled. I won't even go into that fiasco I will just say both boys were in desperate need of a nap and by the time we left there the pharmacist was laughing at me, shaking her head and saying are you going to be okay? I am heading to Saginaw in an hour for a party to celebrate a friend's birthday and its a good thing because boy do I need a breather. by the way, its okay to laugh because I'm already laughing about it. Jason, if you read this I need a massage from Ambiance.
NO TALKING
So everyone says that your second baby doesn't talk as quickly as the first. Micah says dada and mama and babbles a lot but thats it. Max at this age was saying up, hot and several other words. I don't want to compare my boys because they are two very different kids but its hard not to go by what you already know from your first. Do you think I should be worried that Micah isn't saying much or should I not fret about it for several months? I will say I don't think Micah will be much a talker even when he's older. I think he just likes to keep to himself.

Our new addition
We have been wanting to get the boys one of these gators. Every time Max rides his lawn mower, Micah watches with envy in his eyes. So we thought it would be great to get one of these so Micah could ride too. Luck would have it that one of our coworkers was getting rid of one so we bought it for $25. It needs a new battery but Jason ordered one from the John Deere dealer yesterday so we'll be up and running by the weekend. Man our kids are spoiled rotten.

Year Shots
I took Micah this morning for his year shots. these shots are the worst because there are six of them. they try to do you a favor by combining two shot together so they only get poked 5 times but I don't think it made Micah feel any better. He of course survived and seems to be doing well after a much needed nap.
My mom always got me Mcdonald's after I got shots so I thought I would do the same for Micah. There is nothing some McDonald's fries can't solve.

The milk solution
So I have decided to just buy the boys regular old milk. The reason I decided to do this was because Meijer advertises that they use no growth hormones in their milk. I know its not organic but the growth hormones where what I was really worried about. That $4 a gallon extra for organic really adds up when you buy 5-6 gallons a week. I feel kind of guilty about not buying whats best for my children but I also need to be smart shopper.
from the mouths of babes.
Every morning when Jason takes his meds, Max runs out to the kitchen and says, "I need my vitamin medication". Its so cute. He also told me the other day, as he was growling, that he was a puma. where does he come up with this stuff. He cracks me up.

I love this picture.
Saturday we went to my mom's house and went out on the boat. My sister, brother-in-law and niece came down from Alpena to join us. The boys had a riot playing in the water and my sister's new puppy seemed to enjoy herself too. After the boat we ate and great dinner, kidnapped my niece and headed home. Katie and I went to see the proposal after the boys went to bed. I didn't expect it to be so funny. I was laughing through the entire movie. I loved it. We get to keep Katie until Tuesday and then my mom steals her back until Thursday when she has to go back home. She is getting to ready to take driver's training, that makes me feel so very old. Its nice to have her here for a couple of days.
Today we went to Jason's parent's house to celebrate his birthday and his brother Lance's birthday. It was a nice relaxing evening and Jason and I got our baby fix holding baby Blake. Fun.

A Birthday BBQ
Trevor brought this cake from the Dairy Phil, he knows that Jason is only 36 but he thought it would be clever to make him older.
Max and a sparkler. I love this picture.
We put the boys to work at a pretty young age. Now that Micah is one, he has to start earning his keep.
Jason makes an ugly woman. We kind of think he looks like Mikey from Orange Co. Choppers.
Sorry Sharpie, but you also make an ugly woman.
We had some friends over last night for Jason's birthday. We cooked out on the grill and had some drinks and made fun of Jason getting older. Trevor got Jason a gift bag full of gag gifts. This provided hours of entertainment for both adults and children. Good times.

Aaron and Melissa. I don't really think they knew I was taking their picture. They are usually a little more photogenic then this.
We are dorks aren't we?
Happy 50th birthday Randy. We hope you had a great time.
Yesterday we went to a Tiger's game with a bunch of people from work. We celebrated Randy's 50th birthday. It was tons of fun. There were 13 of us total and we took a motor home down. Let me tell you, that is the way to travel. It was a beautiful night, I pigged out on stadium food and the Tigers won, you just can't ask for a better night than that.
