A Halloween kind of day

I found out this morning that I had to watch the 4 year old next door neighbor girl all day so I decided I needed the day to be structured. so we did lots of Halloween stuff to pass the time. The kids had fun and I kept my sanity. Everyone's happy!

First we made these fun toilet paper candles with bats on them.

Then we made ghost cookies.

SPOOKY!

Then the kids made handprint spiders.

and finally coffee filter ghosts. Thank God for ideas you find online!

A water park

Word on the street is that the casino is tearing down the Holiday Inn and building an indoor water park resort. I don't think its suppose to happen until 2011 but I am super excited about it. To have an indoor water park 2 miles down the road will be so much fun. We would actually have something to do in the winter. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Fall in full bloom

These top three pictures are taken on Crawford road in front of the Mt. Pleasant Center. The trees make a canopy and its so beautiful this time of year. I wish I had a really nice camera to capture the beauty of it. Max thinks its scary.

We did a small pile of leaves today. Instead of the boys jumping in it, they got out shovels and destroyed it.

having fun swinging

Our yard is completely covered with leaves and only about 10% are off the trees. My back hurts just thinking about all the raking that needs to be done.

Halloween Party

Saturday night Jason and I were suppose to go to a Halloween party. Our babysitter had to cancel because her kids were sick and we couldn't find a replacement. Instead of neither of us going, Jason told me to go because it was my best friend from highschool throwing the party. I felt guilty about leaving him with the kids but I also really needed to get out so I went. It was great to see my two best friends. We don't get together that often. I was a punk princess. It was fun. I took Max's guitar with me to complete my look and he sobbed when I left. Jason said he asked about his guitar about 3 times in the 3 hours I was gone. So dramatic that one.

witchy sisters...Ok ok, a witch and an evil tooth fairy.

Me and my two best friends.

Meredith dressed up as a pregnant girl. She had no choice. only 4 weeks to go.

Hey look, its Billy Idol and Captain America. Did you know they are brothers?

a cheap Christmas

So I asked Max what he is going to ask Santa for this Christmas and he told me chicken. I think Jason is disappointed he didn't say steak.

Cross Country Meet

Aunt Lori, grandma Borello and Micah

I'm totally going to get Aunt Lori

Cheese!

Max looks like he is pouting but actually, he is protecting the golf balls he found and hid in his pockets. The meet was held at a golf course.

This tire provided lots of fun for the boys.

run Matt run!

Max and Matt right after the race.

We went to my nephew Matt's cross country meet today. The boys had fun playing and running around. It was great to visit with my sister and her family. There were 17 schools at the meet today and I have never seen so many people so excited to run. God love em.

The impact of sugar

One of those days

this is how I feel today except my outfit isn't nearly that cute!

Its been a day. My phone broke and I need to go get a new one. However, the thought of taking two screaming boys into the Alltel store is daunting.

Our poor day care lady Jamie, who had her entire family sick last week with a horrible virus called me and told me that her daughter came home with pink eye today so she can't watch the boys tomorrow. I feel bad so bad for her. I tried to trade a my shift tomorrow for a shift on Friday but no luck. Thank God for Jason's mom who can help us out tomorrow. She is destined for sainthood and I can't thank her enough!

I had a MOPS meeting this morning that didn't go so well. Both of my boys wouldn't stop crying so I had to tend to them. I was suppose to be running the meeting today but instead I was running between the nursery and Max's classroom consoling crying babes. Jason's mom bailed me out again and took the boys so I could do meeting stuff. I have been working really hard on growing our MOPS group and I just am not seeing results. We had only 10 women show up today. I don't know what to do but I am pretty discouraged about it. To top it all off, in front of all the MOPS moms Max started talking back to me and just refused to listen to what I was telling him. I was so embarrassed. I know all kids do this from to time but man I felt small. All I can say, is that he is lucky we were in public.

The last thing I am going to vent about, is my house. Its so dirty right now. I have been trying to get my floors swept and mopped for 3 days. Its like I'm climbing a mountain that I can never reach the top of. Its my own fault though. For example, I could be cleaning my floors right now but instead I blog. Oy.

I hope you are all having a better day than I.

Papa's Pumpkin Patch

Yay! I'm so excited and I'm not sure why!

fun with tractors

In the words of Homer Simpson, "UHHHHHHHHHHH Donoughts"

Micah likes em

and with any family outting comes the melt down.
Every year we take the boys the Papa's Pumpkin Patch. It is so much fun. Despite the fact that the sun went away the second we showed up at the patch and it was freezing, we still had a great time. Whats not to love when there are warm fresh doughnuts, acres for boys to run and family togetherness?
