An informative bath time

When we got the boys into the bath tub tonight, Jason noticed that Max had a red mark on his back. So he asked him what happened. The conversation went something like this............

Jason - Max what happened to your back?

Max- Mama did it.

Jason- Mama did it?

Max- Yeah, she pushed me down.

Jason- Really?

Max- Yeah.

Jason- Did she do it when her boyfriend was here?

Max- Yeah.

Jason- So what's mama's boyfriend's name

Max- Finn.

Mom- What? You little liar.

Max- ha ha ha ha

I don't know where Max came up with all of this but in an afternoon's time, I beat my child and cheated on my husband. I wonder if Finn is cute? Anyway, I am just glad he decided to tell his fib to us and not a neighbor or a policeman because I'd probably be brought up on charges. Oh kids are fun.

Max's first movie

Today I took Max to see his first movie in the theatre. We saw Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. Max, our friend Cynthia and I went and we had the theatre to ourselves. Max did really well. He started getting a little antsy for about the last 15 minutes and he wouldn't keep his 3D glasses on but we had fun. We ate lots of popcorn and drank lots of lemonade. It was a really cute movie and I'm sure we will end up owning it when it comes to dvd. I look forward to the day that we can take both of the boys to the movies. I feel like that will be in the blink of an eye.

5 years and counting

First comes love, then comes marriage then comes a baby in the baby carriage. This Thursday Jason and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary. It has been a great 5 years and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I have a husband who is my best friend and whom I am very much in love with and I have two incredible boys. I can't wait to see what the rest of our lives bring.
Love you Jason!

I'm sick at the fact the boys are sick.

I took Max to the ready care yesterday because he was running a fever. He has tonsilitis and was started on an antibiotic. Micah started with a runny nose the other day and is now having a flare up of his rsv. I swear we are never going to be over this stuff. I just hope and pray that we will all be well next month when we go to Florida. We are leaving on June 17th and I am very excited. We will be spending time with friends and family and just relaxing. I am not looking forward to driving down but we'll see how it goes. We will be driving at night so the boys will sleep..........we hope. I'm expecting complete chaos but who knows. It will be fun no matter what.

Good News

Good news, Jason got my camera to download again. The bad news, in doing so he somehow managed to stop my computer from connecting to the internet. I don't know whats wrong with it but we've tried everything so now it goes to have a professional look at it. I will use Jason's computer to post and I can still put some pictures up but its hard to pry this computer from the death grip that he usually has on it so sorry if I don't update as often as I should. Hope everyone has a great weekend and I will hopefully talk to you all soon.

Going through with it.

Well, I did it. I scheduled surgery. I am scheduled to get a new set of girls on June 4th. Its only about 3 weeks away and I am excited and nervous. I am crazy enough to talk openly about getting plastic surgery on my blog however, I am not crazy enough to show before and after pictures. I will tell you all how it went though. stay tuned.

Mr. Independant

Max was insistant this morning on taking a shower by himself. So I let him get in and he stood in the shower singing and hanging out for a good 10 minutes. I have a really cute picture of this on my camera but for some reason I can't get it to download. I think it my have something to do with the fact that Micah was chewing on the cable the other day. I don't even know how he got ahold of it. I should buy these cables in bulk because I either lose them or the boys get ahold of them.

Finally

This is the look I would get when I would ask Micah when he was going to start crawling.

So Micah just started crawling. This milestone happened a week before he turned 10 months old. He is about 2 seconds away from walking but just started crawling. Max was the same way. I actually wondered if he was going to crawl at all. He does this one legged crab crawl thing. See for yourself, its cute.

Neglecting the blog

Wow have I been neglecting the blog the last week and a half. Sorry about that. It has been a little hectic. Last weekend we went to two funerals and I didn't feel much like doing anything cheery after that. The week was a bit busy with work. Tuesday I dropped the boys off at Jason's mom's house and met Jason down in Grand Rapids. He has a homeland security conference he is attending so I decided to get away for a night. I saw a plastic surgeon down there tuesday afternoon. I really like him and have decided I am going to go ahead with surgery. We just need to call and schedule. I am excited and a little nervous. Jason's step dad Don told me he was going to do some photoshop for me with different options I might like. He was joking of course. He thought I should go with the Madonna cone look. I told him no thanks. After that Jason and I went out to dinner with some friends from work who are also attending the conference. Wednesday I met a friend at the mall and did a little shopping before I headed back to get the boys. It was fun to get away but I missed the boys terribly. I am really terrible at leaving my kids. Poor Kathy was really tired of hearing from me after the 3 time I called her to check on the boys. I don't worry about them really, I just miss them and wonder what they are up to. Its funny that you long for time by yourself and then when you have it, you don't know what to do with it. Wednesday morning Jason left the hotel a little after 7. I went down to the pool, came back packed up my stuff showered and then went to breakfast. When I got back I still had an hour before I needed to leave for the mall. I was bored out of my mind. I was pacing watching the clock. I should have brought a book with me I guess. Anyway, it was good.
