Dance party

just like grandma

my mom brought these pictures over of her when she was a baby. Micah looks a lot like her, especially in the picture where she is older. Their hair is even curled in the same way and they have the same gap between their teeth. funny.

My favorite guys in the whole wide world

Micah's changing table broke the other day so we were moving this trunk in to hold all of the toys the changing table was housing. The boys couldn't resist playing in it.

Max looks so sweet here.

Micah just started posing for the camera and saying cheese.

When Dora is on, nothing else in the world exists. Micah is absolutely mesmerized.

I fought with Max all day to take a nap and then he finally stopped for two seconds and passed out.

Visiting with friends

Molly, Windi and I

Our friend Meredith joined us and brought her 4 month old daughter Allyric. Isn't she precious.

look, we have the same hair.

Saturday I got to go to Lansing and meet up with some of my oldest friends. It was great to see them. We don't get together very often but its always so nice when we do.

better late than never

The boys had a lot of fun Easter morning. The egg hunt was better for them than the baskets I think.

Micah was even into it.

whoo hoo, football egg

The Easter Bunny went a little over board this year. She just couldn't help herself.

Saturday we were at my mom's to celebrate Easter and my brother's birthday. He is 27. I really thought he was turning 28. I'm such a bad sister.

Jason usually doesn't like cats but since this one is a comfy neck pillow he decided it was ok.

My sister and niece were able to come down from Alpena. It was great to see them.

I couldn't resist putting this on Micah. He wasn't too happy about it.

I am about a week late posting these pictures but better late than never right? My camera was lost for a short time in the bottom of our Superman backpack/diaper bag.

Growing up too fast

The boys are growing up way too fast. I feel like it has been a big week for us. Micah started sleeping in his toddler bed and we just signed Max up for preschool last night. Micah has done so awesome in his big boy bed. He hasn't gotten out of bed one time. I put him down for bed and he goes to sleep. That process was so much easier than I expected it to be. I kind of wanted to keep him a baby a bit longer but I had to grasp that fact that my boys will grow up no matter what so I shouldn't fight it. We have no more babies in our home but instead two wonderful little guys that I am so proud of. They are growing up so fast. I really don't understand how its possible for Max to attend preschool this year. He is so excited. He will go Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 11:30. It will be great for him and for Micah. I on the other hand will probably sob like a baby.

What size?

Has anyone noticed that clothing sizes seem to have changed? I have no idea what size to buy when I am out shopping anymore. I have jeans that are a size 2 and jeans and jeans that are a size 9 and they both fit me perfectly. I feel like the sizes have gotten bigger. Maybe because the population has gotten bigger they are all trying to make us feel better about ourselves but I wish they would stop so I could figure out what size I need. The only thing that hasn't gotten bigger are the bathing suits. I found a suit on clearance at Target two weeks ago. I was super excited because they had the piece separate pieces in the size I wanted and it was way on sale. So I bought it and tried it on when I got home to find that the XL top was more like a medium. I know I had surgery but I didn't become Pam Anderson. The top was seriously really small for an XL. I had to take it back. Anyway, I'm done with my rant on clothing. Let me know if you think I'm crazy or sizes have changed for you too.

I did it

I know I should not be proud of myself for doing something I should have done a long time ago but I can't help but feel a great sense of accomplishment for this task. I just finished reading the bible. My goal was too read a book a week but I was able to do much more than that. It was by far the best book I have ever read. I started with the new testament and will re-read it again now. I once saw a commercial for a church that asked what will you tell God one day when he asks you why you didn't have time to read his book in all of your time on Earth? I am now glad I don't have to answer that question because I wasn't really coming up with any good excuses. lol.
