Micah's First Dentist Appointment

Micah had his first dentist appointment yesterday. He did so much better than I thought he would. He got a little fussy at the end but I'm calling it a success. My sister and nephew came and helped out since the boys and I all had appointments at the same time yesterday. After the dentist we went to Chuckee Cheese's. It was fun.

Potty Training

Yesterday we started Potty Training Micah. I did the same thing I did with Max, I just took the diapers away. We do this thing cold turkey. Micah did pretty well but still doesn't want to tell me when he has to go. I just sit him on the potty chair every 30 min. Max was pretty much potty trained in a day, (except for that hiding in the corner to poop for 3 weeks thing) I think Micah is going to fight me but even so, we are not going back to diapers! Wish us luck!

Images from the farm

OK, technically its not a farm but I think we have planted enough rows of sweet corn in the garden to qualify as one. Now if I can just get grandma and grandpa to get some goats.
Max has wanted a skateboard forever so being the good mom that I am, I bought him one at a yard sale for $2. I was affraid he was going to kill himself on it but he has done awesome! I told him he was looking like a professional and he said, "yeah, like Tony Hawk."

Isn't this Pioni beautiful!

Another great skateboard shot.

The garden

Don't worry, we watered right after I took these.

Daddies toy and Micah's toy.

congratulations Lance and Brooke

Congratulations Lance and Brooke on the birth of your beautiful baby boy Connor.

Connor Andrew MacDonald was born on Father's Day. He was 7'2 and 19 1/2 inches long at birth.

Mom and Dad are doing great!

Look at all that hair........him not me.

Max and Smart Start T-Ball

Max did Smart Start T-Ball this year. They don't play a game but they learn all the fundamentals with you. Its a great program and Max and Jason had a great time together.

Micah and I sat and watched.

I see Max was blessed with Jason's flexability...poor kid.

gotta stretch some more.

Finally ready to play.

Max got a certificate of completion and he was so proud of it.

One final team cheer and T-Ball was over for this year. The progam went 5 weeks and Max learned a lot. We will be enrolling him in Smart Start Soccer in the fall.

A day with the girls

My sister and my niece came down from Alpena on Saturday. We celebrated my mom's birthday and my niece's graduation with a day of shopping and a great dinner. We started out with visit to grandma's.
Just what Katlyn wanted for graduation, balloons. Don't worry Katie, there is money attached.

My grandma, niece, sister, mom and I all together. It was a really nice day and we had so much fun. We have decided we need to do this every year!

Future Astronauts

I always knew the boys would be astronauts!

Images from Grandma and Grandpa's

Every year grandma gets a shot of Max in front the flowers so we can see how big he's getting.
Micah never wants to participate.

This is the "bathtub" at grandma's house.

The boys fit in it a lot better last year. They got to spend the night at grandma and grandpa's on Sunday so they could go to vacation bible school on Monday while I worked. They also get to spend the night on Thursday. Thanks Grandma! I don't know what we would do without you!

Max is ready to blast off to Mars at VBS. The boys are both having so much fun at vacation bible school. I'm so glad we could work it out for them to go.

The Clare Airport

The Clare Airport hosted a fun day for the kids. There were airplanes, glyders, helicopters, a hotair balloon and skydivers that jumped and landed for us and some fun creative activites for the kids to do. They also had free hotdogs, water and popcorn for everyone.

We met some friends from preschool there and we all had a great time.
This is Max and his best buddy Chase

I asked Micah to stand in front of the plane so I could take his picture. He just kept walking toward me saying, "Cheese"

My two tough guys.

They had this glyder out for the kids to look at. This guy was kind of cracking me up because he didn't want anyone to touch his glyder, which I can undertand, but yet he brought it to a kids fun day.

They had a medical helicopter come and 3 minutes later, it got a flight and flew away.

It was too windy to set up the hotair balloon but the kids still got to go into the basket.

The man who owns this balloon is my friend Erica's father-in-law. Her son Ian goes to preschool with Max and she in MOPS with me. Thanks Erica for telling us about this fun event!

Max and his preschool friends eating popcorn and waiting for the skydivers.

They didn't have to wait long. Watching the skydivers land made me really miss jumping. Maybe I'll get to go again one day when the boys are older.
