a visit with Laine

Max loved holding his new cousin.

Grandma loved holding two of her grandsons at the same time.

Micah loved stealing Laine's binky.

This was not on purpose, I promise. It is funny though.

I had to throw this picture of Micah in. He just finished a blue sucker and was showing off his colorful grill.

Halloween Hookiness

I tried my hand at some creepy cupcakes. They make me laugh.

Aunt Lori sent the boys a Halloween package in the mail yesterday. They loved all the fun things inside and had a riot last night playing with and eating it.

Look, there are two full moons this Halloween.

Spooky kind of cookie

The boys and I made Halloween cookies today. Well, I should say I made Halloween cookies and they poured orange sprinkles on 3 pumpkin cookies and moved on. We had fun though. They are not perfect but I think they are spooky enough for this year.

Oh how we love Matt and Jessie

My sister, brother-in-law and niece and nephew stopped over the other night on their way home from Traverse City. The boys had so much fun playing with Matt and Jessie. Max even took some pictures.

Happy Halloween

A Nice Day for Raking Leaves.

The boys had a great time today loading a pile of leaves into the gator and transporting them from the front yard to the back yard.

It only took about 6 trip to complete thier mission.

Hail Ceasar.

Not quite the same affect but still cute.

Autumn in Northern Michigan

Sunday Jason had a two day conference at the Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire so I decided to go along and relax while he was in classes. We left after church and got up there around 1:30. I wandered around the resort a bit and took in the beautiful scenery.

On Monday I decided to drive to Traverse City, which was about an hour trip, but well worth it. The drive was full of winding roads with glimpses of torch lake and colorful trees lining the way.

I stopped at a little look out point on the way home. This picture and the tree picture after this was from this point.

It must have been my lucky day, I found a quarter.

I have a thing for old barns and had to stop and take a picture of this one.

We got back to Jason's mom's on Monday in time to eat dinner and then catch the beautiful sunset. We quickly found out the boys didn't miss us at all.
