Escape Artist

The other night I had a dream that Micah climbed out of his crib. A couple days later while we were at Jason's mom's house, I laid Micah in the pack and play in the upstairs bedroom. a few minutes later, we found him climbing down the stairs. That little stinker. He also made it half way down the basement steps that day, which are treacherous even for me. Anyway, last night I put Micah down to bed and returned to the living room. I soon heard a big thump followed by crying. Yup, Micah climbed out of his crib and fell on the floor. I guess we will be turning his crib into a toddler bed a little earlier than we had planned. Its time anyway. I can't keep him a baby forever.

the results are in

So half of you voted that Micah is long over due for a hair cut. I appreciate your opionon but I decided I don't care. I just can't bring myself to cut it. I think his curls are cute and I'm going to let them grow until he is at least 2.

Butterflies and such

this is as close as I could get to having the boys sit together for a picture. On the bright side, they aren't screaming and crying in this one.

Hey, do I have something in my nose? I think a butterfly might have flown up there.

I took the boys to Dow Gardens today so we could see the butterflies in bloom. It was a really nice time. The boys were both really well behaved, which hardly ever happens, and the weather in the morning was great. After the butterflies, we played in the children's garden for awhile and then headed to the Mall for lunch. After lunch we were going to see the Easter Bunny but he was on a lunch break from noon until 3:15. Apparently he was reallly hungery. Anyway, we didn't see the bunny but we played in the play area instead. I love spending time with my guys, we had a great day.

Easter pics

its so impossible to get a 1 and 3 year old to sit together or even sit still for 2 seconds for pictures. With that in mind, these turned out pretty cute. Anytime they aren't screaming or crying in a picture I'm happy.

Irish Fest 2010

This past Saturday was the Clare Irish Festival. It was cold and rainy so Jason and boys stayed home but I went. I ran a 5K that morning. I was surprised to see that over 500 people were in the roadrace. This was good because it meant there was a better chance I would not come in last. I was quite proud of myself finishing my 5K in 29 min and 37 seconds. Not too bad for a short stocky girl.
After my run I changed and got the mighty Trailblazer in line for the parade. We wanted to do something for MOPS so we decorated my car and then a couple of us walked behind and handed out candy and flyers. We handed out over 300 flyers to moms and passed out over 12 pounds of candy. It wasn't enough, because we ran out about three quarters of the way through the parade. Next year we will go a little bigger. I really hope this helps us grow our MOPS group.
By the time the parade was over, I was cold, wet and tired. I went home and took a hot shower, put my pj's on and hung out with my guys. It was good day.

Boys and Mud Puddles

The boys had a blast in this mud puddle this afternoon. The second we got in the house they were stripped down and tossed in the tub.

Saginaw Children's Museum

I took the boys to the Saginaw Children's museum today. We had lots of fun. It wasn't without a meltdown about having to go home but it was still fun. I wish Mt. Pleasant had a children's museum. Actually, I wish Mt. Pleasant had a lot of things.
After the museum we had lunch with my mom and grandma. it was a really nice day.

Micah takes his signage very seriously. He yielded for a good 30 seconds.

Legos..........so fun.

Both of the boys love these train tracks. Micah would have been happy playing here the whole time.

Racecar + boys = happiness.

Apparently Max is sweet, who knew?

This was pretty cool.

How do these make me look?

Maybe I should go with something a little hipper.

Toddler area was a big hit with Micah. Then again, he is a toddler.

I didn't know the museum was going to have this big water area and its a really good thing I always have extra clothes for the boys because they were both soaking wet.

Micah had so much fun just taking all this pvc piping and putting it into the water.

they had these little aprons to keep kids from getting wet, but they really needed to be bodysuits.

Max informed me that he, "really likes this place". Thats enough for me.
