technology

So almost every store around carries Kodak easy share cameras but the funny thing is that none of them carry a usb cable to fit them. They are all too big. I have been to 4 stores and none of them have the right cable for my camera so I guess I will have to order one online and wait to download my many photos. I really wish Max wasn't captain destructo all the time. One day I will have new pictures on my blog.

California bound

well, Jason left for California yesterday for a week. He is attending a conference in San Diego for work. My niece Katie and my mom are here staying with us while Jason is gone. Thank God for them because I don't think I do it on my own for an entire week. I am hoping to get some bloging done while they are here. Max broke the cable to download pictures from my camera so I hope to get one of those today and get some new pictures up here. I didn't realize it would be so tough to find time to get on the computer.

Sick

So I don't know if its really proper to talk about this on a blog but I have never really cared about that sort of thing so I am going to talk about it. Yesterday morning I woke up with mastitis. I had it with Max too. Its an infection in your breast. Its quite common in women who are breast feeding and its not fun. It feels like you have the flu. You get a high fever, chills and terrible body aches not to mention a lot of pain in the affected breast. Another side affect, for me anyway, is that I cry for no reason. I ended up taking Max to daycare yesterday, which I felt really guilty about, because I just didn't think I could handle everything. Micah and I slept a big chunk of the day away. I was sleeping so hard that Jason stopped by the house to see how I was doing and I didn't even hear him come into the house and then into our bedroom. Good thing he wasn't a serial killer. Kind of scary that I didn't wake up. we even have this bell hanging on our front door that is really noisy and irritating. Anyway, I am feeling much better today and hope I don't have to go through this again.

We're back

Hi everyone, our cable modem has been down for a couple of days but it is fixed now so we are back online. I hope to post a bunch some time today and also take a look at everyone else's blogs. I feel so out of the loop.

Beer

Is anyone else disappointed in Budweiser? I feel that Budweiser has completely sold out. They spend millions every year advertising the fact that they are the great American company and they sell off to a German company knowing that a bunch of its employees are going to lose their jobs. I understand there was a ton of money involved in this deal but I didn't think that Budweiser or August Bush were hurting for money. I don't even drink beer, but if I did you can believe I would never buy a Budweiser product again.

Micah's First Bath

Micah's firt bath went well. It was of course the pre belly button falling off sponge bath but it was good. He didn't love it but its always fun to give them their first bath. I can't wait until he is old enough to take baths with Max. It will be so easy to just toss them both in the tub and let them play. I just hope they don't try to drown each other.

Fun with Uncle Lance

We usually go to Jason's parent's house every Sunday after church and Max loves when Uncle Lance comes over. They always go outside and throw a football to the dogs. Max follows Lance everywhere he goes and thinks he is the greatest thing ever. If he gets out of Max's sight for more than 2 seconds, Max is yelling for Lance which sounds a lot like Yance.

The Great Escape

Max wanted to go outside at grandma and grandpa's house the other day so he decided he would just sneak out through the window. We thought it was cute and helped him through but then we realized that was a mistake because now he thinks that is the only way to go outside.

The Thong Incident

So my mom and I and the kids took a trip to the mall the other day. It was nice to get out of the house and Max always has a blast playing in the play center in the middle of the mall. We went into Elder Beirman to do a little shopping and my mom wanted to look at some bras and underwear. Max right away went after a pair of thongs hanging on a little hanger. He kept pulling on them and pulling on them and then it happened, the hanger broke and the thong came around and snapped him in the face. The poor little guy had a welt on his cheek from a pair of frilly thong undies. I told him that this is why he shouldn't play with women's underwear until he is older.

Our 4th of July baby

We got to come home from the hospital on the 4th and so I took the opportunity to dress my baby like a little firecracker. He looked adorable. It was a pretty big event, they had fireworks for our homecoming and everything. We all slept through them but they were there. since we have been home it has been great. We were expecting the worst and have been surprised at how easy the second baby is. Max has been awesome and Micah sleeps in 3 or 4 hour blocks. It is also so nice to not be stressed out this time. When we brought Maximo home I was a nervous wreck but with Micah I'm so laid back and I think he is more laid back because we are. It is so much fun having two sons now and we feel so blessed. You wonder how you can possible love your second child as much as your first but it instant and its great and Jason and I are both loving our family addition. for all of our friends who are expecting right now, we are so excited for you! We can't wait for you to experience the joy that a child brings and the new joy that a second child brings.

Visitors

One of the best things about having a baby as that people come to visit. We have a had lots of visitors and it has been great. Thanks to everyone who has come to see Micah and to everyone who have brought us gifts. Jeff and Sarah, a special thanks to you for bringing dinner. The spagetti was great and we really appreciate it. The pictures just show a couple of people who have been by. Sorry if we left you out but we still love ya.

The Big Brother Gift

We got Max a pool for a congrats on becoming a big brother gift. Good idea on our part, he loves it. Jason and Max went for their first swim the other night and they both had a great time. Max was splashing Jason and Jason was chasing Max around. It was really cute to watch. I told Jason I wouldn't make any beached whale jokes so if all of you could refrain from any jokes that come to mind when you see Jay in the pool he would appreciate it.

More pics.....

More pics of today...........

Max meets his little brother for the first time............

Max came to see us today with Grandma David and Katie. He did much better than we anticipated. He was a little weepy for a bit, but quickly warmed up to the thought of him. He was willing to hold him and hug him , and even gave him a kiss at one point. It was a good first encounter. We'll see how things go as he realizes that Micah is actually coming home with us, and not just a novelty to see at a hospital.

Grandma Tina, Grandpa Roger, Aunt Lori and Matt, Jeff Morin and Kim Tait were all here at some point and got a chance to hang out. Max really enjoyed seeing everybody, and I think the group was a good setting for him to meet his brother in.

Tons of people have called or left messages. We really appreciate it. Steph is doing great of course. She is pretty tough. Micah is doing great as well. He is eating and sleeping like a champ. He actually hasn't pooped yet, but I'm sure that will happen soon enough...........

I"ll keep posting as I get time...........

More Pics.

More Pictures of Micah and mom.

MIcah Andrew Macdonald has arrived!!!!!!

Micah was born at 0912 via C-section. He weighed 8lb 1oz and was 21 inches long. We think he looks just like Mr. Maximo Allen MacDonald looked when he was born, but time will tell of course.

Everyone is doing great. All are happy and healthy. I have never put anything on here before so if I screw it up bare with me.

One more day

Well, this is it. The last day as a family of three. I am really excited and anxious about tomorrow. I am going to miss Max a lot but I know he will have a ton of fun with grandma and grandpa and I will get to see him at the hospital. I can't believe 9 months has gone by so quickly. It doesn't seem real that we are having another baby tomorrow. I really can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like. I am a little stressed out about the fact that the poor little guy doesn't have a middle name yet. I guess we are going to decide on one on the way to the hospital. Jason's idea, not mine. I woke up at 5:10 this morning and that's all I could think about so I just got up. It did me no good though, we still don't know his middle name.

We will get pictures up on the blog as soon as possible. We can't wait to share him with everyone. Wish us luck and send some prayers our way. I am hoping for a nice easy go of things tomorrow. Max was born with a collapsed lung and we didn't get to hold him for an entire day. It was awful and scary but turned out fine. So I am excited to see what a normal delivery is like. Hopefully we get that. Talk to you guys soon.
