Fun Projects

Today is a rainy, snowy, yucky day so I thought it would be a good day to do some fun projects with the boys. Also, I needed to distract Max from the Wii. Man that kid loves video games.

Max got a book full of fun projects to do for Christmas so we tried this super flier out first. I was super sceptical that this was not going to fly. To my surprise, construction, tape and straws fly very well.

Next we just added some food coloring to milk and the boys made erupting volcanoes.
Micah loves bubbles and they both love making messes so this was a hit.

Truth is, I kinda wanted to join in.

Next we made some calming jars that I saw on pinterest. They are just
water, food coloring and glitter. The idea is when the boys get mad they can shake the jars and then have to sit and watch until all the glitter settles. I don't really see this working but it was fun to make anyways.

Last, we tried these vinegar, dish soap and baking soda volcanoes. They were fun but we ran out of baking soda so we didn't get as much activity out of them as we wanted but still a hit.

It was all fun and the boys didn't fight once. I need to start doing more projects with them!

Us being us.

Love these boys!
Max is really into this punching pose lately. I think its a 5 year old boy thing.

They are still so cute when they are sleeping!

and again with the punching pose. Micah thinks its hilarious!

What a goof ball.

Max and his dirty face.

Congrats Jon

Congratulations to my brother Jon on his baptism! I am so proud of him and the man he has become! With that said, He looks just like he did when we were little kids and he would plug his nose before I dunked him in the lake. lol.

Chamber Ball 2012

Every year we go to the Saginaw Chamber of Commerse Chairman's Ball. Its always a great time. We meet at our friends Lynn and Kraig's house for a pre-party and then head over to the main event. Its always fun to get dressed up and have a night out.

Our friend Leslie showing me her best 1950's pose.

We had a much smaller group this year than the
last couple of years but it was still fun.
From the top, Marshall and Leslie, kraig and Lynn and Jason and I.

Lynn and I at the ball

He looks pretty doesn't he?

Say cheese. Jason looks like his childhood pictures in the shot.

The Saginaw Children's Museum

I have been wanting to take the kids to the Saginaw Children's Museum for some time now but with both of them going to school, its hard to find a day to get over there. Last Friday, the boys didn't have school so we headed over. We had a fun time and it was difficult to get the the boys to do anything besides play in the water.

Its fun to watch the boys build and create.

After the water area was the race track. It was a magic track, somehow Max won everytime lol.

Micah spent most of his time playing with the trains. Man that kids love trains!

Max tried his hand and shooting hoops and after a few minutes, got
pretty good at it.

This thing was fun. The boys loaded the balls up and cranked them up until they fell down. They took turns laying on the mats and getting pelted with falling balls.

Music time.

Yay, a place for Max to jump off of things and I don't have to worry about him breaking something.

This is just funny.

Micah wasn't quite tall enough

filling er up and changing the tires.

This is what the MacDonalds think about slow signs!

He makes this face everytime I ask him to brush his teeth!

Its a done deal

Well, our renters came yesterday and signed all their paperwork for their lease and gave us money so we definitely are moving out. We are shooting for March 24th so if you're not busy that day, come on over lol. We are super excited about the move and I am super excited about decorating another house. I am in love with pinterest and am getting so many great, not to mention inexpensive ideas, for the house. So much fun. The boys are getting tired of going to Home Depot to look at paint colors lol. As soon as Jason's Parents are moved, I will be taking lots of pictures of house so you guys can see it. It will be fun to do before and after photos. Our first project will be putting railings up on the stairs and in the loft. Wish us luck!

I know, I haven't blogged for an eternity

Ok, I haven't blogged in two months again.
Don't worry, I have some good excuses.
1. My computer is broken and I can't blog on my iphone. Jason has a computer but I guess he has homework to do for his Master's Classes or some excuse like that....lol. Anyway, he uses his computer a lot and I don't want to upload my pictures onto his computer because its a work computer.

2. Life has been busy. I know every one's life is busy and somehow they still blog but what ev, I'm using that excuse.

3. I have been extra busy because we're moving! I spent weeks organizing closets, painting, cleaning and staining to get the house ready to put on the market. It was on the market for about 2 and 1/2 weeks when we had an offer to rent it to a family. The same day that offer came in, Jason's parents offered to sell us their house with around 30 acres of land with the pond. So to make a long story short, we're moving to Clare! We will be making the move in a month. I am freaking out a little bit but super excited.

Ok, those are pretty descent excuses right? I love this blog and I enjoy doing it. It just hasn't been that easy to do it without my computer so I haven't been but I miss it so I'm going to try to be better at it!
