Our first camping trip

We decided to do our first camping trip at a site we know and like well........Camp David. Otherwise know as Jason's parent's. They have 40 acres, a pond and a perfect spot for a fire. We even used their tent. It was a lot of fun. I have to admit that I crept into the house at 2:30 because I was freezing but I also wanted to check on Micah who was sleeping in the house. We had a great time and hope to camp for real soon.

The guys went fishing in the boat and Grandpa showed them up on shore.

Max was very into helping out anyway he could.

You can't see it in this picture but Jason has a hatchet in his hand. Uncle Lance bet him $20 that he couldn't throw it and have it stick in a tree. Its the game most people play with two toddlers running around. Lets just say we are not $20 richer.

Max went and got his own sticks for the fire. Micah stood by and made sure he told everyone that the fire was "hot".

You can't have a camp fire with out S'mores. I wonder how many weight watcher's points those are? I had two.

a beautiful sunset.

Chillaxing by the fire. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes joined us.

What is this?

This is what I found when I got up for work yesterday morning.

This is what I found when I came in the house the check on Micah while he was taking a nap the other day. Him on the floor again.

For the past week and half, Micah has been getting out of his bed repeatedly and laying on the floor. This happens for both naps and at bed time. He has always been great about just staying in bed and going to sleep. I woke up the other morning and found him in the hallway. He had slept there all night I think. I have been consistent in putting him back in bed as soon as he gets up but we did this for an hour the other day for a nap. I put him back in his bed at least 10 times. He even got punished for it and thought it was funny each time. I'm not really sure what to do. I don't want to put his bed back to a crib. I feel like he needs to learn to stay in bed and that it is unacceptable to get out and play or sleep in random places. So weird, why would you want to sleep on the floor? Jason thinks I should just leave him there but I feel horrible doing that. I hope this phase ends soon.

present time.

Micah got lots of fun gifts including this bubble maker that Max has and this bubble rocket that Micah is trying to hard to launch. It was such fun to watch the kids with these toys.

Of course we put Lance to work on fixing Max's lawn mower while he was here.

Jason and our friend Nate each bought a ridiculous amount of fireworks. They put on a great show for us. We even had people on M-20 pulling over to watch our display. I have to admit I was super impressed. The two are already planning next year's show. So next July, think about coming to our house.

This was the grand finale firework. Leave it to men to combine pornography and fireworks and leave it to my husband to buy it.

My Boys

Um, where did my Popsicle go?

Do these shoes go with this outfit?

Great self portrait by Max don't you think?

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my baby boy Micah. He is two years old today and such a joy. I can't wait to see how he grows and matures this year. He and his brother are both true blessings to me and I am so thankful to have such wonderful, healthy boys.
