Images from Grandma and Grandpa's

Every year grandma gets a shot of Max in front the flowers so we can see how big he's getting.
Micah never wants to participate.

This is the "bathtub" at grandma's house.

The boys fit in it a lot better last year. They got to spend the night at grandma and grandpa's on Sunday so they could go to vacation bible school on Monday while I worked. They also get to spend the night on Thursday. Thanks Grandma! I don't know what we would do without you!

Max is ready to blast off to Mars at VBS. The boys are both having so much fun at vacation bible school. I'm so glad we could work it out for them to go.

The Clare Airport

The Clare Airport hosted a fun day for the kids. There were airplanes, glyders, helicopters, a hotair balloon and skydivers that jumped and landed for us and some fun creative activites for the kids to do. They also had free hotdogs, water and popcorn for everyone.

We met some friends from preschool there and we all had a great time.
This is Max and his best buddy Chase

I asked Micah to stand in front of the plane so I could take his picture. He just kept walking toward me saying, "Cheese"

My two tough guys.

They had this glyder out for the kids to look at. This guy was kind of cracking me up because he didn't want anyone to touch his glyder, which I can undertand, but yet he brought it to a kids fun day.

They had a medical helicopter come and 3 minutes later, it got a flight and flew away.

It was too windy to set up the hotair balloon but the kids still got to go into the basket.

The man who owns this balloon is my friend Erica's father-in-law. Her son Ian goes to preschool with Max and she in MOPS with me. Thanks Erica for telling us about this fun event!

Max and his preschool friends eating popcorn and waiting for the skydivers.

They didn't have to wait long. Watching the skydivers land made me really miss jumping. Maybe I'll get to go again one day when the boys are older.

Max learns to ride his bike without training wheels

Saturday we decided to let Max try his bike without training wheels.
Micah was super excited for him.

It really didn't take any time for Max to get this down. I am so proud of him!

Micah decided to mow the lawn while Max rode.

The boys had such a fun time outside that they both crashed. Micah on his changing table...

and Max on the couch.

Lol

Apparently the stop light wasn't enough.

I don't know if this is as funny as I think it is but I couldn't stop giggling about it. Glad to see Michigan is creating jobs!

The First Boat Trip of the Summer

It was a beautiful day for the boat, It was nice and warm and not a cloud in the sky.
My sister-in-law Dani was able to join us and Laine had first boat ride. He of course loved it!

Max told me the other day that I was the best mom he ever had and I told him he was the best first born son I ever had!

Grandma had two fine co-pilots this trip.

The boys had so much fun jumping off the boat ladder.

Great action shots, don't you think.

There is always time to stop and snack on the boat.

Sometimes a day on the boat can make you quite tired!

grandma is always up for fun with the boys.

What a great day it was!

My Niece Graduates

I had two nieces graduate this year. I unfortunately missed Jessica's graduation but did make it to Alpena to see Katie graduate. I am very proud of both of these girls. Jessica will attending North Western in the fall and Katie will be attending Alpena Community College.

Our First Camping Trip

Jason got us all set up like an old pro!
Him an John got the screened in porch figured out together.

A fire and a no rain dance and we we're ready to go.

Our camp sight was right in front of a big play ground. The boys had a riot playing with all the other kids at the camp ground.

the boys taking a 2 minute breather.

We camped with our friends John and Patty and Saturday afternoon our friends Sharpie, Aaron and Melissa paid us a visit.

The boys played so hard they eventually crashed.

We had enough food to feed the entire campsite. Saturday night dinner consisted of burgers, chicken, steak, shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, dilly beans and strawberry rhubarb pie.

Don't forget the s'mores!

John had this handy s'mores maker that he was really proud of. He was so excited to use it. Unfortunately, it seemed to burn the crackers, completely melt the chocolate and not touch the marshmallows. Sorry John.

And we all know that no camping trip would be complete without video games.

We had a great time and can't wait until our next trip.
