Max The Grown Up

Max is truly convinced that he is a grown up. He argues the fact with me all the time. Every time I tell him he is not big or old enough to do something, he says, "mama I am a grown up. I am not a child". Last night I told him he was such a big boy for brushing his teeth so well and he told me, " yeah, I'm a big boy. I'm old enough to drink beer". I told him he was 3 and not even close to being old enough to drink beer. He advised me at this point that he is a grown up like daddy and he can drink beer. I told him that beer is yucky and he can't drink it until he is 21. He said, "mama don't tell me that". So whats life going to be like for me when he is 13? I think I'm nervous to find out.

So glad the boys don't hog the bed!

A good boating day

There is nothing better than letting a boat rock you to sleep and having a nice cool breeze to keep you comfortable.

Saturday we headed to my mom's and went out on the boat. It was the perfect boating day. We had a great, relaxing day together. It was much needed.

A Good Road Trip Song

A Day in Mackinaw

Friday we went to Mackinaw to visit the Nelsons, Shaws and Priests. It was great seeing everyone and the boys had a blast playing with all the kids. The only thing that would have made our trip better was if Jason could have joined us. Its so beautiful up there and I can't help but take a million pictures so hang in there because I put a ton of them up here.

Max wasted no time getting in the water.

Micah was happy to check out the landscape.

Max and Amya had lots of fun playing together.

Baby Nelson even got to swim..........kinda.

Kadence and Max hung out on this raft for awhile and let the waves make some fun for them.

Rock hunting is such fun.

The lake is fun but you just can't beat kiddie pools.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Uncle Bryce was thinking up fun races for the kids. Max was sure to be first out of the gate.

What? I'm not doing anything.

Bryce and Suria

John and Danielle

Baby Nelson is so stinking cute!

Watch me crush this cup, I'm so strong!

Getting the kids to pose for a family pic is always such fun.

We even managed to get a group picture in.

So he prefers the floor

My child will not sleep in his bed. Its not that Micah just gets out of bed its that he really just wants to sleep on the floor. For the past two weeks I put him in bed and find him the next morning sleeping on the floor somewhere in the house. The other day he woke up from his nap and went into the kitchen and fell back asleep on the tile floor. The house is at a cool 73 degree with the central air and he usually sleeps in shorts pajamas without covers on so I don't think he could possible be too warm. I just don't get it or really know what to do about it. Its hard for me to believe that he is so uncomfortable in his bed, that he has to go sleep on the floor. Last night he was really a stinker and fell asleep on floor after 2 hours of putting him back in bed repeatedly. I have been thinking about not letting him take a nap so maybe at night he will be tired enough to just go to sleep. I guess I can just let him sleep on the floor but I want him to go to bed when told and not wander the house. I hate the thought of locking his bedroom door but it might come to that. I do know that I am not staying up until 11:30 again tonight fighting with him.
